Fairfax Appoints Weinsoff Mayor, Bragman to No. 2 Spot

John Reed is out as the Fairfax mayor, and David Weinsoff is in.

So it goes in Fairfax, where public officials continue to honor a longtime tradition in which elected officials rotate positions each year.

Weinsoff was sworn in as mayor and Larry Bragman as vice mayor in the five-member council.

Bragman is in line to be appointed mayor next year per rotational protocol.

Reed remains on the council.
