When will the construction be over?

Use our handy map to find out what construction projects are taking place in your neighborhood.

As summer winds down, most of the construction projects that filled our streets over the warm months are wrapping up. With the rains months behind us and stimulus money pouring in, our streets, sidewalks and sewage pipes were upgraded. But, keeping track of what is finished and what's still going can be a real pain.

To help out, we built a map (at right) of the construction projects, from the pipeline replacement at Phoenix Lake to new bike lanes being added over by Olema Road and more.

A number of grants, state and federal funds are helping get these projects off the ground. The Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot Project is funding parts of the sidewalk rehabilitations and new bike lanes. And projects like the Saunders neighborhood repaving, probably the most extensive repaving project this summer, are finding town funds matched by $400,000 of federal money.

We are going to update the map as the projects move along, so be sure to check this out whenever you have any questions.

For updates on the bigger projects around town, check out the Lagunitas Bridge website, the Town of San Anselmo site (and click on 'daily construction status updares') for day-to-day details about the Saunders Avenue project, and the MMWD site for information about the Phoenix Lake pipeline replacement project.

Expect most work to be completed soon. No one wants construction when the weather turns wet.
