Brookside & Hidden Valley Schools OCTOBERFEST!

Don't miss out on great family fun! Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Brookside and Hidden Valley Schools will have its annual Octoberfest. Join the fun on Brookside's lower campus at 116 Butterfield Road.

The event is free and everyone is welcome to the school-wide event celebrating the season. It's fun for the whole family with games, prizes, raffles, a silent auction, crafts and food trucks.

"This special event is not to be missed! The Brookside community pulls out all of the stops every year to put on this fun fest! Kids of all ages come out to play," said committee member Nicole MacDonald. There are carnival games (Win a Goldfish!), prizes, face painting, arts and crafts, a raffle drawing -- win a weekend in Tahoe, family trip to Disneyland, a silent auction, bounce houses, an obstacle course, a haunted house, a book sale, live music, and food trucks and more.

"In addition to bringing the community together, Octoberfest serves as the only fundraiser that directly benefits the 800 students who attend Brookside's two schools, making ongoing site improvement possible," said MacDonald.

This event is planned and managed by 100 percent volunteer efforts, with parents  generously give more than 1,800 hours. Local businesses contribute, making it a community-wide event. For a list of contributors and more information go the the Octoberfest website.
