Marin County Bicycle Coalition Annual Member Meeeting

Marin County Bicycle Coalition's 13th (MCBC) Anniversary has been met with the tragic death of our dear friend and cycling ally Supervisor Charles McGlashan who died March 27th of apparent heart failure after skiing with friends in Lake Tahoe.  We will begin this meeting by honoring Charles.
For our primary focus of this meeting, Membership Director, Tom Boss, and Advocacy & Outreach Coordinator, Andy Peri, will present the three efforts that are bringing businesses on board to increase bicycling in Marin: the Route 5 Passport Campaign, the Bike Locally Commuter Challenge, and a business pledge to gain business support for a complete bicycling network in Marin County. We’ll also be having a group discussion regarding member involvement in our outreach efforts. Finally, we’ll vote for and announce the winners of MCBC's Board of Directors election (please see the agenda below).

Directors election
This year, there are 7 Director candidates. You’ll be able to vote for up to 6 candidates from the following list: Phil Brewer, Scott Klimo, Mark Comin, Ian Roth, Scott Penzarella, Gerry Coles, and Don Magdanz. We need your vote: 15% of our members must vote for the election to be valid. Your membership must have been current as of March 7, 2011, to be eligible to vote!
All members are invited and encouraged to attend the MCBC’s Annual Membership Meeting. If you're not a member, you can join at the door.

Agenda
The meeting will consist of:
Meet and greet other MCBC members (drinks and snack foods will be provided)
Recognition of Charles McGlashan
Three-minute statements by Director candidates
Member vote casting for the election
Presentation of "Bicycling is Good for Business"
Announcement of election results
This is a member-only event; new members can join at the door, but cannot vote in the Director Election.
If you're a member of MCBC and can’t attend the MCBC Annual Meeting in person, please vote online, or by mailing or faxing your ballot. Click here for more information about the election, and to read the candidates' statements.
We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Member meeting!
