Marin History Museum Lecture Series

Historian and lifelong Marin County resident Richard Torney will describe the successful efforts of his great-grandfather Lt. Col. George Torney in preventing the spread of contagious disease throughout the city in the days following the great earthquake. Mr. Torney's presentation includes many original family documents and a selection of recently rediscovered photographs of the 1906 catastrophe taken by Lt. Col. Torney's twenty-six year old son "Ned".  Tickets are $5 for MHM or Falkirk members, $10 for general admission.
