MMWD Co-Sponsors Free Bay-Friendly Gardening Workshops for Spring

The Marin Municipal Water District (MMWD) invites gardeners to join us for five FREE, hands-on Bay-Friendly Gardening workshops this spring. The series kicks off February 26 with “Bay-Friendly Gardening Basics.”

Bay-Friendly is a holistic approach to gardening and landscaping that works in harmony with the natural conditions of the San Francisco Bay Watershed. Bay-Friendly practices foster soil health, conserve water and other valuable resources while reducing waste and preventing pollution.

The workshops are co-sponsored by the Bay-Friendly Landscaping & Gardening Coalition and MMWD. The Bay-Friendly Gardening Program was developed by StopWaste.org to encourage San Francisco Bay Area residents to make environmentally friendly gardening choices.

Interested gardeners can sign up for any or all of the classes. To register, visit: bayfriendlycoalition.org/workshop-reg.php. For more information call 945-1512.
