New Class for Divorced or Separated Parents

New Class for Divorced or Separated Parents begins September 14.

The popular Parenting Apart Classes for divorced or separated couples provided by Family Service Agency of Marin will start a new session Wednesday, September 14. The class will meet weekly for six sessions. Classes are offered during the day from 11 - 12:30 and in the evening from 7 to 8:30 for a sliding-scale fee that ranges between $15 and $40.

Research has shown that the level of conflict between separated or divorced parents directly affects children’s development and mental health. Parenting Apart helps separated or divorced parents learn skills that help their children manage the challenges and conflicts of a changing family.  Parents attend classes separately, although both parents are encouraged to participate at some point. The next class is scheduled to begin in September.
