Ross Valley School District Hires New Superintendent

The new administrator will begin his duties Aug. 1.

The following is a news release from Ross Valley School District:
 
The Ross Valley School District is pleased to announce they have hired a new Superintendent. Dr. Rick Bagley was presented to the staff and community last night (6/24) in an open session of the board of trustees. 

Dr. Bagley comes to the Ross Valley from the Manhattan Beach Unified School District where he served three years as the Deputy Superintendent of Administrative Services. Previously he worked as:  An assistant Superintendent of Human Resource in both the Lawndale (3 years) and Anaheim (5 years) School districts, the Director of Personnel, Student Services and Special Ed for  the Santa Monica/Malibu district (10 years) and as an elementary school teacher for 8 years in Santa Monica. 

Dr. Bagley received is EdD in Educational Leadership at USC, a MA in Ed Leadership, and a MA in Special Ed at Cal State Los Angeles, and a BA in psychology at UCLA. He serves as part of the Adjunct faculty at Cal State Northridge, received multiple scholarships from USC Rossier School of Education and is the recipient of many Teacher and Administrator of the Year awards. 

Ross Valley School District Interim Superintendent Marci Trahan will be continuing her service until Dr. Bagley's contract begins August 1st.
