Special School District Board Meeting Friday Morning

There will be a special meeting of the Ross Valley School District (RVSD) on Friday morning, May 4, at 9:35 a.m. It will be held in the at 110 Shaw Drive, San Anselmo.

Contrary to the agenda on the RVUSD website (and the one attached to this story), the meeting will NOT be closed to the public.

There will be several topics of discussion that do not result in formal action.

STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT & LEARNING
David Finnane, Principal, and Kim Kern, Assistant Principal, will make a 30 minute presentation on the White Hill Middle School 2012-13 Instructional Plan, with another 30 given over to board and public questions.

POLICY & JUDICIAL REVIEW
There will be several reviews of Personnel and Student goal alignment to Implement best practices in recruitment, hiring and evaluation to attract, support and retain a high quality staff; and to Provide every student with meaningful, differentiated opportunities to access and demonstrate proficiency in core competencies and skills for global citizenship

TECHNOLOGY
Eileen Rohan, Superintendent, will give a 15 minute presentation on a Technology Plan Update. Goal is to Provide teachers, administrators and staff opportunities for professional development to enhance instructional leadership, curricular practices and professional skills to support 21st century teaching and learning.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS & ADVOCACY
There will be a 15-minute discussion on Board direction on Ideas for Honoring or Acknowledging RVSD Employees During Employees Recognition Weeks, facilitated by Chris Carlucci, Board President
