Here are our tax $ at work. Concrete trucks are coming and going all day today pouring the foundations at White Hill Middle School. Yay, and but, hmm, how much do we spend on endless wars, rather than education?
And after it's all done, how and what do we want our children taught? What is an education? Is an education developing and drawing out each individual's talents and gifts, or is it breaking spirits and teaching conformity?
How do we turn our kids on, inspire them, and set them loose on our world? Hopefully they can save us from ourselves, and all our bickering over politics, while the natural world gets trashed and consumed, as we drive on buy.....
What are we doing about the serious issues of Endless Wars and environmental consumption for disposable landfill, etc?
Do we care enough to change, or to demand real change from our two party blowhards (all of us are fool of it, really) on either side of the same b.s. coinage, and smiley figure head assurances?
Schools are being built and rebuilt. Now, what are we leaving behind or creating for anybody's children?
And what is more important, appearances, or substance?
Tell me, I'll forget
Show me, I may remember
Involve me, and I'll understand.
