Laguntas local, Phil Arnot, a true patriot awarded French Chevalier Medal.

Local lifelong peace activist Phil Arnot has been awarded the French Chevalier, which is France's highest award for outstanding service. Arnot, as a young  pilot fought in France in WWII.

A ceremony in honor of Arnot will take place April 15 at 1 p.m. at the Marin Veterans Auditorium where Marin County VA Service Representative Sean Stephens will present the medal to Mr. Arnot in front of the WWII Memorial.
