WiFi in Ross Vallley Schools. Should we be concerned for the future health of our children, and the teachers?

There are scientific studies showing WiFi and cell phone radiation cause DNA damage, breaches in the blood-brain barrier, increased cancers , cellular stress, sleep problems, heart rhythm disturbances

Below is a letter which I sent to the Ross Valley School Board, and the Principals, in the school district, regarding a recent proposal to upgrade the IT infrastructure, including WiFi, districtwide.

There are scientific studies proving/showing that WiFi and cell phone radiation (which is what it is, and it IS cumulative) cause DNA damage, breaches in the blood-brain barrier, increased risk for cancers, cellular stress, heart rhythm disturbances, etc..

Perhaps, everything is all fine and dandy, and/but?

I am writing in response to the recent report by David Dickstein which was done recently for the RVSD.

I am all for upgrading and securing the safety and functionality of "IT" within the school district, and, I believe that we may be doing a very grave disservice to our community, and to the future health of the students (which ARE our future) through the wanton exposure to WiFi, throughout our campuses, and everywhere else in our world. Sure, there are, and will always be, folks telling us that there is nothing to worry about with cigarette smoke, asbestos, and, hey, I'll have a teaspoon of DDT, but......, and?

What is the strength of the WiFi, and what of those in closest proximity to the sources? Are children more sensitive and susceptible to exposure? Do we need to have "sugar" or convenience, directly injected into our veins, 24/7, or, just perhaps, are there good reasons to consider, and to be cautious, because, we really, do NOT know, and are conducing a mass experiment, with NO choice being given to those exposed.

Sure WiFi IS cheaper, and "convenient," however, we really do NOT know, nor do we have any assurances of the long term effects or safety, on our students, or ourselves. Is it not our duty to the future, to be cautious, especially when there are alternatives? Why the rush to fill every bit of everywhere with "electrosmog?"

There does appear to be effects of the tech, if we care to dig a little, and how much of our drugged out society (Ritalin, Prozac, etc,) is in response to environmental pressures? I strongly advise caution, and precaution, now, as much preferable to "Oops, " sorry, later. What kind of a world ARE we creating and leaving for anythings future, and should we perhaps consider long and hard, before filling the spaces, and exposing ourselves to tech which we really do not know who and how it is affecting? They are OUR kids, and OUR future, each one, and I do not believe in sacrificing ANY of them, for the convenience. We can, and should do better.

Here is some "science" against WiFi, please give it a look, and there is a lot of evidence and stories of folks who ARE seriously affected by the tech. Is there an acceptable number/percentage we are willing to sacrifice, and how much background behavior issues, and irritation, are the result of a background overload of electromagnetic goo?

P.S. This short link/read regarding WiFi in the schools,is worth a consideration. It is a letter to Los Angeles U.S.D from the American Academy of Environmental Medicine. Many of you are and will be living in the stew throughout the workday. And do be aware that the school systems ARE orders of magnitude stronger than home systems. I wonder, what the cumulative effects will be for 6-8 hours a day, times years? We will likely see.

In other recent news, Santa Clara announced today that they are offering city wide free WiFi over the PG$$E Smartmeter network

Believe what you wish about the effects of exposing all and everything to wireless tech, and as one person responded, what about basic security or privacy issues, he said,

"I love it.  We can now hack your computer from your smart meter.  Virus anyone?  Do you want to back up your itune on my smart meter and I will back up my tax return on your smart meter.  Brilliant!"

I suggest that folks contact the Ross Valley School Board

This is an issue in the High Schools, as well as throughout our communities.
