Branson to Play for NCS Volleyball Five-Peat

A resounding 3-0 victory over Head-Royce sends the Bulls to the North Coast Section Div. V finals on Saturday.

Their feet are already firmly planted in dynasty territory.

But Branson High’s girls’ volleyball team wants more.

The red-hot Bulls on Wednesday night trounced Head Royce of Oakland 25-13, 25-17, 25-10 in a North Coast Section Division V semifinal.

Branson (31-6) extended its winning streak to 20 matches.

The Bulls, who are seeking their fifth straight NCS title, will host the championship game on Saturday night against St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda (30-8) at College of Marin at 7 p.m.

The championship game is a rematch of last year’s, which Branson won 3-2 (25-10, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12).
