The 2011 Shore to Shore Paddle Race is an annual ocean race from Brighton Beach in Bolinas to the Stinson Beach Lifeguard tower. Proceeds from the event benefit the Stinson Beach Junior Lifeguard Program and Surfrider Foundation.  Paddle the 2.75 mile short course or go for the gusto and paddle the 7 mile long course.

Paddle your surfboard, stand up or prone paddle board, outrigger, canoe, kayak—if you can paddle it, you can race it!  Over the years racers have ranged from 12 to 78 years old.  Last year the first person across the finish line was Trevor Rowedder who raced in the junior division and finished the short course in 34.55 minutes.  The first female to finish was Lokelani Devone with a time of 41.52 minutes.
