The San Anselmo Baseball Association (SABA) 11s All Star Tournament Semi-Finals and Finals will take place tomorrow at Memorial Park.  The SABA 11s landed the #2 seed by going undefeated in pool play on Friday and Saturday.  SABA defeated the West Marin Little League All Stars on Friday night 7-6 behind some strong pitching by CJ Castillo, Jesse Robinson and Matt Rosen. Robinson helped himself with some good hits as did leadoff batter Isaac Friedenberg and Christopher Carlucci, who went 3 for 3 at the plate.

On Saturday, SABA played one of its cleanest games of the summer tournament season as Castillo, Robinson and Carlucci combined on a 1-hit, no walk shutout of the California Lightning, winning 6-0.  The fielding was especially impressive as no errors were allowed by SABA in the early morning victory.  Friedenberg led the way at the plate and shortstop Burke Fraser joined in with a strong double to the left field fence.

SABA finished the afternoon by defeating the Rohnert Park Red Storm 14-10.  Both teams had runners all over the place but the highlights of the game were Castillo's grand-slam home run in the top of the 4th and Robinson's ground-rule double to give SABA some much needed insurance as Rohnert Park mounted a rally in the bottom of the 6th.

SABA will be in the semi-finals tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. against the winner of the Albany v. Rohnert Park game.  The finals will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park.  The teams participating in the tournament include the #1 seeded El Cerrito Hornets, SABA, Albany Cougars, Rohnert Park Red Storm, California Lightning and West Marin All Stars.

Is anybody else here getting multiple e-mail notifications of new comments by Jo Tog, and thenRead More clicking the link, only to find that they are actually old comments from Jo Tog, but with today's date on them? What's the deal? Did all his comments get flagged and deleted, and now he's re-posting them? Most curious.

Jo Trog, we live in a Corporatocracy, not a republic. We abdicated the Republic after 9/11, if notRead More before. Know the difference.

Banning the sale in a free market economy is too strong. I believe people should be able to chooseRead More so long as the product is labeled correctly, and even placed in a section with a big sign that says "GM Food products". Would I buy it if I pass the section at the grocery store: NO.
