Wildflowers and Waterfalls

Open Space rangers lead this photography walk (with an interpretive twist) through the lush Cascade Canyon Preserve. We’ll talk about the local habitat, spring wildflowers, and steelhead migration. The pace will be an easy stroll covering nearly 2 miles, on fire roads and narrow trails that follow the San Anselmo Creek to stunning Cascade Falls. Participants with dogs must obey MCOSD regulations. Rain will cancel.

Meet at Doc Edgar Park in Fairfax. Follow Sir Francis Drake Blvd west towards Fairfax, turn left at Center Rd, turn left at Bolinas Rd, and turn right at Cascade Dr. Doc Edgar Park is on the right. Be sure to bring a camera (and tripod if you have one). Parking is limited, rangers will provide shuttle to the MCOSD gate at Cascade Drive.
