Women on Wheels

Bicycle Riding for Women- Novice and Intermediate -  Plus a Special Class for Mothers.

The Marin County Bicycle Coalition is pleased to offer Women on Wheels – a bike riding class just for women. These classes are designed to help women gain the confidence and skills they need to ride a bicycle for errands, to get their children to school, or for recreation.  Women will:

  • Improve  balance and confidence
  • Learn to turn and shift
  • Gain the confidence to bike around cars
  • Learn to climb and descend hills

The Novice class is for women who have not been on a bike in years and need to start over.  The intermediate class is for women who ride their bike a little but would like to go farther and be able to get up those hills.  They will learn the rules of the road and practice the skills for riding on the road safely and confidently.  The Moms on Wheels will not only teach women how to ride safely with confidence but will allow them to practice with their children.
