Jarrett, Kinsolving Shine For Pirates at MCAL Meet
The Pirates' boys standout records a couple of second-place finishes at the annual swim championships; Bailey Kinsolving does most of her best work in third-place relay efforts.
Chase Jarrett placed second in two events and Bailey Kinsolving had three third-place finishes – two on relay teams – to highlight Drake High’s performance Saturday at the Marin County Athletic League Swimming and Diving Championships at Redwood.
In leading the Drake boys to a fifth-place team finish, Jarrett took second in the 50-yard freestyle (21.72) and the 100-yard free (47.63).
Kinsolving placed third in the 100 backstroke (1:02.62) and also swam the backstroke leg in the Pirates’ third-place effort in the 200 medley relay. She teamed there with Nina Wheeler, Isabel Kinsolving and Julia Kinsolving to clock a 1:56.13.

Another third-place relay effort – this one in the 200 free relay featuring Wheeler, Meghan Christie, Julia Kinsolving and Bailey Kinsolving (1:45.77) – helped vault Drake into fourth place in the team standings.
