Marin Country Club Holding 10th Annual Golf Tourney

Proceeds from the event will benefit a Kentfield-based charity supporting those with breast cancer.

A Novato golf course will hold a charity event on Monday in support a local group providing services to those afflicted with a life-threatening illness. 

The 10th Annual "Mixed" Golf Tournament will be held on June 10 at Marin Country Club. The event benefits Kentfield-based To Celebrate Life, a group that provides support and services to those living with breast cancer. 

Two players from the event's winning foursome will be sent on an expense-paid trip to Hawaii to compete in another tournament. 

A putting contest held among the members of the tournament's winning foursome will determine the qualifiers for the Mercedes Benz Dealer Championships Western Sectional in Hawaii later this year. 

Monday's event will feature an 18-hole scramble format open to men and  woman of all abilities. 

Participants will receive a boxed lunch. A cocktail reception and awards banquet featuring a silent auction will follow the tournament. 

The $275 entry covers all activities. 

Registration for the 11:30 a.m. tournament starts at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. 

The reception and buffet start at 5:00 p.m.
