HE’S THE CHEF

Since Stutsman is still working and her husband is retired, he does most of the cooking for the family. “We do enjoy barbecuing on the weekends and having dinner with family and friends,” Stutsman said. The family also has a vegetable garden they tend to and supplement their food supply with trips to the Sunday farmers’ market at the Civic Center. All three of their children, the 33-year-old Robert, 31-year-old Brenda and 26-year-old Jeffrey live in the area, so they get to see each other often, Stutsman said.

HIKING AND WATCHING THE GIANTS

Hiking is one frequent weekend activity for Stutsman and Dick. “I really like to hike and love hiking in Marin, we have so many wonderful places to hike it’s just incredible,” she said.

Another favorite is cheering on the San Francisco Giants. “We’re big Giants fans,” Stutsman said. “We either watch it on TV or we go to games.”

CURLING UP WITH A BOOK

“I like to read a to read a lot,” she said. She recently finished reading the “The Snowball,” a mystery set in Norway, while she was on a cruise in Europe. Another recent favorite was “The Language of Flowers.”
