Are Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Legal or Illegal in Fairfax?

When a dispensary operated in Fairfax, a significant amount of tax dollars flowed back to the Town of Fairfax. Like it or not, it's a profitable business with a large local customer base.

I've been awake at night thinking of what type of business would be profitable for Fairfax.  This morning it hit me.  We had a successful and profitable business with our medical marijuana dispensary until the Feds came and closed it down.  At the time, I thought the dispensary was shut down primarily because it was located too close to the ballpark, and I couldn't understand why the dispensary didn't just shift to a better site.  The reasons for its closure are probably much more involved.  Is it legal yet to re-open a dispensary?  If it's not too close to St. Rita's school, I thought the ideal location would be the old gas station once used by Good Earth.  It could even be a drive-thru dispensary.  How cool is that!  If locals are concerned about drug abuse, maybe the dispensary could just offer the type of marijuana that has all of the positive, healthy attributes without the stony after-effects.  Maybe Sustainable Fairfax could get involved.  You could purchase your marijuana with Fairbucks.  They could even print a special coin with a cannabis leaf on it.  Let's be honest.  We all know a friend of a friend of a friend that grows the stuff.  We all are aware of friends and neighbors that smoke the stuff.  Why can't the Town of Fairfax profit from a system that is already in place?
