Where: Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium (10 Avenue of the Flags, San Rafael)

Maestro Alasdair Neale conducts the Marin Symphony orchestra performing holiday classics.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 18

Hopmunk Open Mic Night Hosted by Dennis Haneda

When: 6 p.m.

Where: HopMonk Tavern (224 Vintage Way, Novato)

The most happening Open Mic Night in Marin is in The Session Room at the HopMonk Tavern in Novato. The venue features a state of the art sound system, lights, a beautiful stage, an audio engineer, and a green room for folks to warm up before their set.

 

Thursday, Dec. 19

Stapleton Theatre Company Presents "A Christmas Carol - The Musical"

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: The Little Theatre at Drake High School (1327 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, San Anselmo)

Charles Dickens' classic gets the full Broadway treatment as Marin theatre veteran Bruce Vieira directs a cast of all ages.

 

Friday, Dec. 20

Blue Christmas Service

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: First Presbyterian Church of San Anselmo (72 Kensington Road, San Anselmo)

The Christmas season can be difficult for those who are grieving, or struggling with unemployment or loss. This Blue Christmas Service is a time for contemplation, comfort, and hope for those who are hurting and the friends who support them.
