An Afternoon in Conversation with David Broza

When: 3:30 p.m.

Where: OSHER Marin JCC (200 N. San Pedro Rd, San Rafael)

Multi-platinum Israeli superstar and peace activist David Broza will perform at Osher Marin JCC. The  exclusive engagement is in support Broza’s new CD entitled "East Jerusalem/West Jerusalem." Broza will discuss his life, career along with his life-long dream of using the power of music to transform reality.



Animals Speak: Native American Creation Stories

When: 2 p.m.

Where: Marin County Museum of the American Indian (2200 Novato Boulevard, Novato)

The opening reception of the exhibition ‘Animal Dreams: Native American Creation Stories’ will be held in the Marin Museum of the American Indian.



Marin Symphony: American Dream

When: 3 p.m.

Where: Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium (10 Ave of the Flags, San Rafael)

Alasdair Neale and the Symphony celebrate with Joseph Schwantner's "New Morning for the World" — drawing upon the inspiring words of Martin Luther King, Jr. to create a memorable and moving experience. Renowned Bay Area personality Noah Griffin is the narrator for this extraordinary performance. The second part of the program continues with Aaron Copland's Third Symphony — a testament to the American spirit of optimism and self-renewal that weaves into its fabric the iconic "Fanfare for the Common Man."
