With its entrance hidden at the back at the library, the San Anselmo Historical Museum is a secret treasure of town. Although different exhibits are rotated through the display windows, permanent exhibits include a timeline of town and a diorama-scale model of San Anselmo of 1915. Open just two days a week and overseen by volunteers on the town's Historical Commission, the museum has a library of books, photos and manuscripts for residents to peruse.
