I don't really see this as a big problem for unions. Most members know the value of their union's…Read More activities and representation. A few may refuse to pay but most know that they enjoy high wages and incredibly good benefits only because of the union's political activities. Why would they not want those activities to continue? I see no need to force the few folks who don't want to pay up to do so.

So what?…Read More As a union investagates all concerns on a ballot that will effect them, and makes susgestions(for the betterment of the union) meaning to the benifit of there members. A majority of members know this and its not a problem. What is a problem is crack pot articles like this. Apparently this article wants a 25,000 member union to have 24,400 members to have to opt in to something they already agree with hoping a lot will not because its another pain in the a@@ in there daily things to do. On the other hand if 600 members feel so strong againt it, then they can opt out.
