Hollywood moguls would harm more animals and even humans if they could (for effect) and if it wouldRead More add to their bottom line. This is not surprising only how long it took for more to catch on to the bs fed to us by Hollywood via their 'no animals were harmed in the filming of this ....' It is always about money and they would say "Hey people continue to hand over their money to us to watch this stuff so we will continue to do it". I believe that what Gandhi said is true... "You can judge a society by the way it treats its animals". Hollywood as a society is a sick society for sure. Violence is the norm of the day for Hollywood. And the lemmings sitting in front of their boob tubes continue to buy it. Nothing will change and this 'outrage' will die down as it always seems to.

I feel compelled to respond, but I don't know what I could possibly say that would sound remotelyRead More positive. Is this the evolution of Patch, or is Kari just giving us a glimpse into one of her quirkier fascinations? (Hi Kari! Welcome to our neck of the woods!) I may have aged into socially-irrelevant fuddy-duddyism; but, in contrast to some other articles I read online earlier today, this piece leaves me hungering for meaningful content beyond simple celebrity. For example, this morning I read an article titled "The Ocean Is Broken" by Greg Ray about his witnessing the growing absence of sea life and growing volume of ocean pollution as he sailed the Pacific, and then I read about the increased use of Monsanto herbicides and pesticides in conjunction with widespread planting of Roundup-resistant GM crops in Ecuador that are poisoning the nearby lands and population of that country. Is it any wonder I find it pointless to keep up with the distraction of the Kardashians while all around us we are given examples of abuse and corruption in the interests of corporate profit that threaten our continuing quality of existence as we now know it. I like escapism probably more than most responsible adults, but I also like feeling as if I'm making an effort to enact positive global change. So in the interests of life balance and my current, serious opposition to the encroaching corporatization and privatization of all the limited natural resources of this fine planet Earth, let me please urge you to take the time to educate yourself and engage in your own individual efforts to keep the Trans-Pacific Partnership (read Global Corporate Coup) from being Fast Tracked through Congress. P.S. Sorry Kari. This turned out to be an unrehearsed comment bomb. P.S.S. Are you going to be our new local editor?

George Lucas has solid tastful well designed building and content ideas. I have not been impressedRead More by the competing bids for the project site. I would rather San Francisco be known for intelligent and evolving substance than podge podge entertainment offerings. Historical unreplaceable items should not be stored and presented right next to the bay, there is no way to guarantee safety from disaster.
