Wow! We attend regularly and I always told my kids to stay alert at this turn. This is where theyRead More have the most speed coming down from 5th Ave (by Mission San Rafael) turning at Starbucks onto 4th. This one looked like it must have stung a bit. Wow. This is a fantastic event if you have never attended before. Especially the night races.

Hmmm, "hailing the store's no-frills focus on high-end road bikes and accoutrements, and notingRead More its reputation as one of the best and most upmarket shops in the country." I do not know the shop, so I can not say much about the above, or how much it fits the folks running the store, and, it sure sounds like it is all about money and wealth, and good old upmarket consumerism, as well as my bike is better n yer bike.... Personally, I'll take The Bicycle Works, in San Anselmo. My 15 year old bike is still rolling right along with superman and hobby horse. Hey, Outside, and consumerbia Celebrity power and money profit America, The "best" bike or any other shops, are any which care more about how we are living and whgat we are leaving behind, and how we are treating each other and all of Nature, than having narrow exclusive shiny latest greatest "upmarket" nonsense. Sure, fancy toys are cool, but, look around......

I agree with Sierra, as I was thinking the same thing.
