Many people like fishing at Bon Tempe Lake, though there is a fishing license required for those over age 16. Others can enjoy the picnic area and flat trails around Lake Lagunitas. Alpine Lake has no trail all the way around, but Kent Trail covers about 2 miles of Alpine's shoreline.

It preserves the historic stables, and maintains the Ethel Moore trails which provides access to 25,000 acres of natural open space. Riding lessons and educational programs for children and adults are provided.
