Located behind Town Hall, Fairfax Pavilion is a community center that the town makes available for a variety of eventsMore and programs. The Fairfax Pavilion has a 700-person capacity and features a basketball court and multi-purpose room. Many of the town's basketball leagues use it to play.  It is also available for various groups within town, as well as weddings, concerts and other events.

The Fairfax Community Church prides itself on being progressive and welcoming. The church opens its doors to allMore people without discrimination and tries to be a part of the Fairfax community. Since 1919, the church has been a combination community center, church, Masonic center and, briefly, a town hall.</p> <p>The church hosts a number of events and classes for congregants. It also encourages people to volunteer in the community. The church is associated with the United Church of Christ and is Protestant.</p>

Fairfax Police Department

The Fairfax Police Department has just one station and 16 full-time employees that oversee all the public safetyMore activities in the town. The department is headed by Police Chief Ken Hughes. Along with basic crime prevention and traffic monitoring work, the police also provide fingerprinting services to the public and work on community education and readiness campaigns. The office, located at Town Hall in Bolinas Park, is open 24 hours a day, per a stipulation passed to fund public safety services (originally called Measure F).
