Alaina Yoakum, Neighbor

I have been a Marinite since age nine except for brief stints in Oregon, where I earned my MA in Journalism, and New York, where I met my husband, Charles, while I was working as a journalist and he as a comic book illustrator.

Since returning to Marin in 2000, I have worked as an event planner, marketing consultant and freelance writer, and am currently a programming coordinator at the Osher Marin JCC.  I enjoy helping Charles with our family business, Marin Running Company, and raising our two daughters.

When not operating a taxi service for my kids, I love to create sculptures, crochet, craft, hang with my gal pals, cook, volunteer and play Words with Friends, my addiction.
