Through presentations, radio/television interviews, and publications for print and electronic media, Dr. Gelardin demonstrates ways individualsin transition can develop lifelong skills. She administers the Job Search Practitioner Certificate and teaches the Career Development Facilitator curriculum, the Distance Job and Career Transition Coach Certificate training, and other career and wellness programs. Dr. Gelardin originated the Integral Aging and Family Caregiver Wellness trainings.

Dr. Gelardin is a former president of the California Career Development Association and an active member of the National Career Development Association. In 2008, she was honored by the California Career Development Association with the Robert Swan Award for Lifetime Achievement in Career Development. She received the 2009 Service Award for Outstanding Leadership Contribution to the California Counseling Association.
