I  grew up in Virginia, obtained a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia and an MA in Education and Curriculum Development from the University of Colorado in Boulder. My work history includes environmental educator at Slide Ranch in Muir Beach, CA, substitute teacher in Boulder, wilderness adventure leader for teenagers, editorial assistant/writer for the Roaring Fork Sunday in Basalt, CO, part-time assistant for Hunter S. Thompson, hatha yoga instructor and yoga studio owner. Much of my writing from 2001 to 2010 has been focused on yoga, evolution and cosmology, but am also interested in any and all ways humans might learn to grow out of toxic, abusive and unsustainable practices and create a more harmonious and luminous world-community. I have lived in the hills of San Anselmo since 2006 with beloved friends and pets. The newest edition to our household is a spunky (i.e. somewhat unruly) vegitable garden.
