Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

About Sarah

I have lived in San Anselmo for over 10 years with my husband and our daughter, a dog, a cat, and 6 chickens.  When I am not contributing to Patch I am working on a novel and writing in my blog.  I cherish being a mom and wife and a part of the incredible San Anselmo community.  Being in the kitchen is one of my favorite places, I love to cook, so much so that started a small catering business this year.  Parties and having friends for dinner, can't get enough of it. Give me a cookbook to peruse or a good novel any time.

I volunteer whenever I can at my daughters school and in the community and can't imagine living anywhere else but in San Anselmo.  I love to travel and my favorite place was the Philipines.  I was raised in Winnetka, IL, went to prep school in Maine, and I got my degree in writing at Columbia College in Chicago, IL.  Thanks for reading!

Hi Sarah,
I've gone ahead and added a picture with the caption for 21 Melville and emailed Kelly to add it to the body of the column.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi Sarah,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:

Lois,
The recipe is in Patch, easiest way to find it is to type in Lemon Bread in the Search tab and the article comes up. The photo with it is of sugar cookies, but the recipe is there. Otherwise feel free to call Laura in Wilmette or send me your email address and I can get it to you!

Sarah,
I have been trying to find a recipe as wonderful as your mother's for Lemon Pound Cake. She had such a lovely tradition of baking at Christmas and we all looked forward to her delicious treat for Christmas morning breakfast. Is there any way you could share her recipe with me?
