L'Appart Reopening, Chocolate Delights Closes, and Butterfly is Flying

Lots of doors opening and closing around San Anselmo and Fairfax.

Family Friendly French

The rumors are true: is opening back up.

I spoke with the owner last week and they are planning on re-opening with a slightly more casual atmosphere and menu next Thursday, Feb. 17. They will open for lunch and dinner eventually, but for the first weekend it is likely to only be open for dinner. Open Table reservations can be made online or you can call Le Garage in Sausalito to reserve a table. The restaurant will be open Tuesday through Sunday and, with the weather we’ve been having, I imagine the front patio will be packed.

Yogurts Changing It’s Name

U-Top-It -- which we talked about extensively in last week's -- did a switcheroo this weekend and is now the Marin Yogurt Co. Regardless of what they call it, the rich pink and bright green interior looks just fabulous. Can’t wait for the grand opening also next week.

But I was delighted to find out that Butterfly hadn’t flown the coop, but was just flying down the road to a bigger space. Keep an eye out for the new shop that should be opening up again soon just across from the .

Looks Like the Last Chance

, the lovely art shop filled with beautiful glass pieces along that same strip, has knocked down its prices to clear out in the very near future; there is a For Lease sign up along with the sale signs.

Closed Shaves

The barber shop in Fairfax next to is closed for the week due to illness.

One Too Many Maybe

has emptied out next to the new Smith Anderson Framing and Art building on Greenfield Avenue, just off of the Hub. Maybe with the other two new fitness centers that opened up less than a block away, the street couldn’t handle all that athletic activity.

Insurance Eased In

Remember the corner place that Dinner Ease was on, but never got a real business going? Well, now a State Farm Insurance Agent has opened shop and is ready for business.

A Little Vacancy

The Red Door Yoga place closed up shop a bit ago and the little storefront is for lease. This is in the cute little section of buildings where , and are just next to the creek in San Anselmo, ready for another new shop to come in...
