Old Antiques Move to a New Location

Construction coming along at Lanna Thai and Swirl.

Only Moving

There are big signs up in the windows of , currently at the Hub (610 Sir Francis Drake Blvd.) that they are having a moving sale. I called and learned that will be getting a little smaller and are moving just down the road to 312 SFD Blvd.,where the recently vacated Country Store lived for so long.

Pavilion Antiques currently has about 35 individual vendors and almost all of them have marked down prices by as much as 50 percent off, so take advantage of this great opportunity while it lasts. And it will only last through this week, because on Saturday, July 16 they’ll be up and running in the new digs and only about 25 of the vendors will make the cut into the smaller space.

Pavilion Antiques has been in business for 30 years at its current location and we wish them the very best for another 30 great years at the new location. Keep your eyes out, too, for their grand opening celebration that will be happening in a few weeks; I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

in San Anslemo got a minor facelift this week. A fresh coat of paint in the same shade of gray brightens up the corner and the place looks clean and crisp.

Almost Ready

has been remodeling for awhile now and I just spoke with someone in the know who said that they should be reopening in the next month. We’ve only had the pleasure of dining there once, but it was truly delicious. We look forward to trying out the new digs when they open up again soon.

True New Friend at Trellis Interiors

While driving about town last evening I saw a woman standing in the quiet street checking out the windows in front of Trellis Interiors on San Anselmo Avenue across from BofA and had to stop and ask if she was the owner.

Lo and behold, she was and, not only did I learn a little bit about her, her work and Trellis Interiors, I think I made a new friend to boot!

Recently relocated to the west coast from Charlotte, North Carolina to get her Masters in interior architecture and design, Julie Exley, the owner, is simply delightful. Inside the little shop are beautiful samples of fabric on tables and chairs and up on the walls are photos of her amazing work.

The newly decorated windows of the shop make me want a beach house. Actually, it doesn’t take a shop window to make me want a beach house, but these windows filled with a surf board, colorful floor-to-ceiling fabric and a very simple chair and table sang out to me and made me wish for the seashore.

Welcome to San Anslemo, Julie, we wish you the very best in your business. It is clear that all your future clients will be well taken care of and their homes will be lovely.

Soon to be Swirling

I spoke with the owner of Swirl, the yogurt shop that will be opening up in the Red Hill Shopping Center soon and he told me that the drywall will be going up starting today -- which means yogurt is sure to be swirling in the very near future.
