Holiday Hours, 2012 Meeting Schedules, Town Facebook Pages

Town Hall Holiday Hours 

Town offices will be closed for the holidays from Monday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. Employees will be taking vacation days and other paid time off in addition to the regular holidays. While town offices are closed for the holiday week, the Police and Fire Departments are on duty and in touch with me and other department heads to ensure a quick and thorough response to any issue that may arise.

2012 Town Council meetings

The San Anselmo Town Council meets regularly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. For 2012, meetings are scheduled on: 

January 10 and 24                                           July 10 and 24

February 14 and 28                                         August 14 and 28

March  13 and 27                                            September 11 and 25

April 10 and 24                                                October 9 and 23

May 8 and 22                                                  November 13 and 27

The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings!  The agendas and staff reports for the Town Council meetings are posted on the town’s website the Friday before the meeting. 

Board/Commission/Committee meetings 

The town has a number of volunteer boards, commissions and committees. They, too, meet on a regular schedule and the meetings are always open to the public.  

  • Planning Commission, meets the first and third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers.  
  • Open Space Committee, meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
  • Parks & Recreation Commission, meets on the third Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
  • Historical Commission, meets on the third Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Historical Museum, on the first floor of the Library.
  • Library Advisory Board, meets on the third Thursday at 4:30 p.m. of every other month in the Library.
  • Library Parcel Tax Oversight Committee, meets twice annually as needed, in the spring and fall.
  • Quality of Life Commission, meets on the third Monday at 7 p.m., in the Town Hall Conference Room.
  • Flood Committee, meets as needed in the Council Chambers, 7 p.m.
  • Arts Commission, meets on the 2nd Monday at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Conference Room.
  • Tax Equity Board, meets annually in May
  • Capital Programs Monitoring Committee, meets as needed, in the spring and fall.
  • Board of Review, meets as needed.
  • Marin Commission on Aging, meets on the 2nd Thursday, at 10 a.m. at the Marin County Civic Center.
  • Ross Valley Paramedic Authority, meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Larkspur Council Chambers.
  • Mosquito Abatement District, meets monthly at 7 p.m. at the District Headquarters in Cotati.
  • Marin County Hazardous and Solid Waste JPA Local Task Force meets as needed.

As meetings times and dates can change, however, please check the website or at 258-4600 to confirm actual times and dates.
