Red Hill Shopping Center Roadway Work

Find out what's happening in San Anselmo-Fairfaxwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

Work has begun on pedestrian upgrades for the traffic signal at the main entrance to the Red Hill Shopping Center at Bella Vista Avenue. The work will include accessibility improvements, such as audible crosswalks for the visually impaired, countdown pedestrian signal heads, and sidewalk ramps.

Phase 1 will be at the northwest corner of the intersection, which is on the left-hand side as you are entering the center. Phase 2 involves the northeast corner, which is on the right-hand side as you are entering. Both Phase 1 and 2 will require that pedestrian traffic along that side of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard be rerouted through the center.

Phase 3 of the project will involve improvements at the Bella Vista/Sir Francis Drake Boulevard intersection. During this phase of the work, there will be no left turn into the center from the eastbound direction.

The project is expected to last approximately two months. If you have questions, please contact Keith Angerman at 258-4604 or kangerman@townofsananselmo.org
