San Anselmo voters will have their say on a half-cent sales tax this November. The San Anselmo City Council approved the measure at its Aug. 5 meeting, according to San Anselmo Town Manager Debbie Stutsman’s Patch blog. 

A mural highlighting downtown Fairfax has been proposed to go on the outside wall at the Fairfax 6 Theater, according to this Marin Independent Journal report.

Lucasfilm officials have been talking with ABC television executives about producing Star Wars TV Shows, according to multiple news reports including this Forbes article. San Anselmo resident and Star Wars creator George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney in November 2012.

The famous Marin filmmaker was also recently in the news because the star-studded second wedding reception Lucas and his bride Mellody Hobson held in Chicago may have bent the rules. Chicago Park District officials reportedly waived restrictions on the party’s hours, caterers and restrooms, according to an ABC Channel 7 report.
